**Amouage Tahani** opens with the feel of dry, spiced air: bergamot is quickly overtaken by saffron and pink pepper, leaving a light, tingling trace on the skin. After a few minutes the composition softens, and at its center sits a rose that feels cool rather than sweet, veiled with a thin ribbon of incense. Sambac jasmine adds a fleshy warmth, while iris brings a velvety powderiness without any vintage effect. In the drydown the scent grows darker, as oud and patchouli build a dense woody base with a supple leather nuance clinging to it. Amber and musk hold everything together, creating an even, warm aftertaste that stays composed rather than loud. After several hours it sits closer to the skin, yet its spicy-woody outline remains clear through the end of the day. It suits an unhurried pace and quiet presence, gathering space around the wearer instead of demanding it.
