Basmah wears like a warm spiced veil, where saffron, rose, and incense melt into an amber-woody base. It feels composed and intimate rather than loud, with a soft trail that suits evenings and cooler air.
**Amouage Basmah** opens with the dry glow of saffron and cardamom: spicy, lightly sparkling, yet never sharp. After a few minutes, the spices soften and a warm rose appears beside dense jasmine sambac. Incense casts a cool shadow over the composition, giving the floral heart a stricter, almost meditative tone. On skin, the fragrance gradually deepens into darkening oud wood, where soft leather facets and velvety amber come forward. Patchouli acts as the bridge, holding flowers and resins in balance so the base never turns heavy. The sillage stays close to the body and remains even, with a warm, slightly smoky texture.
