**Amouage Reasons** opens with the dry warmth of spices: cardamom and cinnamon appear not as pastry notes, but as woody facets with a lightly rough edge. In the first minutes, a nutty accent joins them, making the opening denser and a touch creamier. At the heart, the fragrance moves into a green-woody register: davana brings an herbal bitterness, while patchouli adds earthy depth. Pine and cedar create the feeling of cool shade, like resin on bark after rain. The base rests on the soft smoky outline of palo santo and sandalwood, with a warm resinous layer of labdanum and benzoin beneath. On skin, the trail stays moderate yet textured: dry wood, calm resin, and clean musk for those who prefer a composed, thoughtful scent without excess sweetness.
