Midnight Oud opens with dense rose, saffron and dry papyrus, while bergamot gives only a brief flash of light. In the heart, the fragrance moves into dark oud wood, resinous and slightly animalic through castoreum, with geranium adding a cool green edge. Moroccan rose keeps the floral line, but here it feels thick and spicy rather than airy. In the drydown, patchouli, amber, sandalwood and musk leave a warm, trailing oriental signature. Judging by wearer feedback, it projects strongly and can fill space, so a restrained application works best. This is a strong evening choice for cooler weather and moments that suit a pronounced woody-rose accord.
