**In the City of Sin** opens with a cool, spicy shimmer: bergamot and pink pepper create a dry, slightly sparkling start that is soon softened by cardamom. Within minutes, the rose moves to the center — not powdery and not lipstick-like, but darker and fuller, like petals warmed by the evening air.
