**Montale Aoud Velvet** opens in a gentle halo of citrus and white florals: bergamot and orange blossom feel clear and bright, without sharp sweetness. After a few minutes the texture deepens, and powdery violet with velvety rose begins to soften the woody shadow of oud on skin. Frankincense in the heart adds a dry, faintly smoky line, keeping the composition from turning overly rounded or edible. In the drydown, oud grows warmer and calmer beside sandalwood and amber, reading creamy and even rather than medicinal or harsh. Musk creates a second-skin effect, so the trail stays present but never loud. In cool air it feels more contrasted, with brighter flowers and drier woods; in warmth it becomes softer, resinous and truly velvety. It suits anyone drawn to oriental depth but wary of aggressive oud.
