Memo Paris Italian Leather (2013)

Italian Leather

About

Italian Leather wears as a contrast of green sharpness and warm leather: tomato leaf brings a fresh, bitter edge at once, while vanilla softens the opening. Then it turns herbal and balsamic over a dense leather base. A composed, confident trail for cool days and evenings.

Italian Leather by Memo Paris opens with a dry leather accord cut by the green coolness of tomato leaf and a soft vanilla undertone. As it develops, the green facet turns more herbal: tomato leaf meets galbanum and clary sage, while orris root adds a powdery, matte texture. Labdanum gives the heart extra density and warmth without removing its characteristic bitterness. In the drydown, leather returns to the foreground, now smoother and warmer, with balsamic depth from benzoin, tolu balsam, myrrh, and opoponax. Sandalwood and musk round the composition and leave a persistent, comfortable trail. Overall it reads as a leathery-spicy unisex scent with above-average longevity and a clear, distinctive profile. It performs best in cooler weather, in the evening, and whenever you want a composed, confident presence.
