**Tender Defiance** opens with a dry spark of citrus and pepper: bright at first, yet never sharply acidic. After a few minutes it softens, and at the center a cool rose appears with the green edge of geranium. Iris lays a powdery veil over the composition, giving it a composed, slightly distant tone. On skin it stays close, never pressing with heavy sillage, but moving instead in warm, quiet waves. In the drydown, patchouli and vetiver build a calm, faintly earthy structure, while amber rounds the sharper corners. White musk leaves the finish clean and skin-like, like fabric warmed by the body. It suits someone who prefers restraint to spectacle and works especially well for days when calm resolve says more than volume.
