**Eau d’Amouage** opens with a dry, faintly spiced citrus accord: bergamot and lemon feel muted rather than sparkling, like light through dense fabric. Coriander and sage add a cool herbal edge that makes the opening precise and disciplined. In the heart, a classical floral accord rises—rose and jasmine softened by the creamy wave of ylang-ylang and the transparent lift of lily of the valley. On skin, the composition quickly sheds any vintage distance and turns intimate, almost velvety. The base lingers longest: sandalwood and patchouli build warm woody depth, while vetiver keeps a dry structure. Amber, oakmoss, and musk leave a clean, softly powdery trail with no extra sweetness.
