About
Montale's Nepal Aoud is an amber-based composition, which promises a velvety amber-oud dry down. But like all Montale creations, this scent offers many twists along the way. It opens with a vibrant burst of Kashmiri saffron and Sumatran nutmeg. This transparent cloud of spice wafts above Nepalese oud. These radiant top notes infuse the Nepal Aoud's opening with excitement and energy - at the same time bracing, crisp, and dark. Gradually, it settles into a heart of golden amber tinged with a Bulgarian rose, sensual and soft. The amber gently blends into the soft base of Madagascar vanilla and white musk - no gourmand syrup here, just a gentle, comforting creaminess. A grounding accord of leather keeps Nepal Aoud balanced at all stages, neither too sharp at its top, nor too sweet at its base. The result is perhaps one of Montale's most elegant and sensual ouds, an oud that is as creamy and comforting as it is deep and cool.
