Orange Blossom

Orange blossom smells radiant and textured, balancing honeyed sweetness with green bitterness and a waxy petal brightness. It suggests warm skin, sunlit courtyards, and the white petals of bitter orange trees after heat. In perfume it moves easily through white floral, citrus, floral, neroli-style, and oriental families, sometimes fresh and sparkling, sometimes lush and almost indolic. Orange blossom gives lift to amber, softness to woods, and a golden glow to musks. It shines in Frédéric Malle Carnal Flower’s floral universe by contrast, but more directly in Serge Lutens Fleur d’Oranger, where the note is lush and spicy, and in Elie Saab Le Parfum, where it turns polished, luminous, and couture-bright.
