Geranium

Geranium smells green, minty, rosy, and brisk, with the feel of crushed stems and cool air moving through leaves. It is often called a masculine rose, but that undersells its precision and sparkle. Geranium brings freshness to floral hearts and a sharp, aromatic lift to woods, spices, and mossy bases. It appears in fougeres, barbershop fragrances, woody aromatics, classic chypres, and many rose compositions that need a greener edge. The note can feel clean-cut and tailored or vivid and almost metallic. Its character is unmistakable in classic masculine structures like Guerlain Habit Rouge and in the cool aromatic florality of Tom Ford Beau de Jour.
